Barbara Manger Gallery

These unique prints are created by rolling transparent ink or watercolor over torn paper stencils in transparent layers.  Additionally, linoleum block prints and antique woodblocks are printed on handmade Japanese paper both by hand and on an etching press. Some small rubber stamps add contrast in scale. The work reflects the artist’s interest in flowing rivers and is  inspired by the rivers in which she kayaks and by the view of the Milwaukee River from her studio window.  Work is available for purchase from the artist or from the Peltz Gallery, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
